Johnny Anxious and The Anticipation

Johnny Anxious and The Anticipation is a newly formed group of pros from Los Angeles and Detroit. Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Johnny McG recently moved from Los Angeles where he spent over 30 years playing at venues like The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Canyon Club, and others. He's played with David Coverdale, Doug Aldrich, Stevie Salas, members of Kik Tracee, rubbed shoulders with Jimmy Iovine, a bunch of labels, and opened for Zakk Wylde. The Anticipation, Paul, Mike and Mark, have been fixtures in the Detroit music scene for over two decades, opening for national acts at the best clubs in the city. Their former bands include Stompbox, Kambridge and Atom Stone. 

Johnny Anxious and The Anticipation debuted as the headline act at Winterslam Melt Down 2025 at the Diesel Concert Hall. They bring a unique mix of catchy, driving originals and punk versions of great 80's and 90's hits.

Johnny Anxious and The Anticipation is four guys who love to get on stage, play with too much energy, and make sure everyone has a great time.
